Today i have been learning new techniques on photoshop, Creating what have been names as orbs was a new experience for me, although i know the basics of photoshop i did not know how to use them efectivly and with any great effect. I will be taking the knowledge i have learnt today and i will be taking it home with me for my own personal work. This picture here is what i have created today.
i am very happy with how it turned out and by following simple steps i have created a very professional peice which i can use to great use in the future with my own work. The techniques i have been shown to use in this peice are, the smudge tool and what hardness and strengths did to the outcome, the hardness is the softness or hardness of the over all suround of the effect and the strenghts determined how much of a smudge you can drag out from the object, the brush tool, selecting websafe colours, i have learnt shortcuts for selecting tools, i have learnt how to work with layers and how to track my work with the history palette. Next i went on to create a second orb but this 1 is green and a different shape using the same technique befor, we then got set about to posistioning the orbs in the correct place on the photo and then removing the black cover to place it ontop of the exsisting photo, i then used mask for the first time inorder to creat a glow on her face asif the orbs were really there, this i found really interesting as i hadnt used this technique befor , it was really effective and i will be using it in the future, i was very fussy when it came to doing it as i try to reach for perfection but i came to realise u dnt need to be to fussy for it to work so i layed back and made it a little simpler for myself, with this technique now drilled into my brain i can use it at home and it will have a great effect on some of my work, the method of , masking what you want to highlight then unmaksing it and inverting what you have selected then holding alt and findin colour and changin it was a very simple few steps to learn and i enjoyed doing it, this photo below is an image of my final product that i am very pleased with .
