We started by resizing the image to make shure it fits to the perportions of the lizzard body, by holding down shift it keeps the images shape so we dont have to worry about losing its shape as a head. we then made an adjustment layer on the hippo head to change the hippos head colour to green the same colour as the lizzard, then by rubbing away some of the layer mask of the hippo head we blended the two images together, we then went about adjusting the levels and colours to really blend in the two images, we then went about erasing parts of the lizzard head that are sticking out by using the stamp clone tool to colour over the lizzard head and use parts of the background to copy it in, then once we had done that we put a new layer in and filled it in blue set the layer to overlay and played with the opacsity untill we had an image with a relativly good evan contrast, This is my final product:
This demo i found really interesting to do, i feel i further increased my knowledge of masking and using layers to merge photos together, i found it very interesting that evan thought they are completly different animals there images merged quite well together , so in a sort of abstract image it works really well and it is really effective, this process will be very usefull in future projects.
